"It was unexpected I must admit but I said to the players if we stick to the plan and everyone is disciplined within it, then any team is hard to beat.
"I think we were hard to beat today and it was a battling performance.
"It's been difficult for the team since the New Year period because we've had a lot of disruption. We have been in for a lot of criticism lately and it amazes me.
"Today the team has really shown a battling performance which we had to do. We had to be very disciplined in our set pattern of play and then we went close to nicking it a couple of times.
"That was the only way we could have played today."
