"There is also a written understanding between the club and player that after six months of putting pen to paper on said contract, if the player is finding it difficult to commute from Spain and spending time away from his family, then we would allow him to return to Spain at the end of the six-month period.
"This six months expires in mid-February and falls outside the transfer window meaning that the player will not be able to return to play in the Spanish League for the remainder of the season should he wish to leave.
"In the same way that as a club we are expected to honour all such agreements, as the player signed the deal we would expect him to do the same."
