Husbands Departs

It has today been reported that Michael Husbands has left Walsall and joined Port Vale. He joined Walsall on a extended trial to see if he liked us and if we like him, however both parties have decided that we werent right for each other. Michaels first two outings looked very promising, his pace caused Yeovil and Scunthorpe many problems. He was brought off in the Brentford home game for not following instructions and has not featured since. He scored a hat-trick for Walsall in a reserve outing during his time at Bescot but he didnt do enough to show he was worth a full time deal.  His advantage was that he could play as striker or winger, but specialised in neither.

The emergence of Ishmael Demontagnac has meant our urgency for this type of player is not what it was so an amicle spitt was decided on. He is joining Port Vale where Martin Foyle has built up a strong squad on a tight budget. They are proving pre season relegation contender tags to be unjustified and are looking up rather than down at this moment in time.
