Hull City have refused Walsall permission to name on-loan goalie Mark Oxley in the squad to face Stourbridge on Saturday.

The keeper, yet to make a senior appearance in the game, would have been expected to be named as substitute for the FA Cup First Round tie. Had Clayton Ince got through the game uninjured, Oxley would not have been cup-tied having not entered the field of play.

Walsall are likely to react by naming Youth Team keeper Tim Cooney on the bench, with it being a knock-out competition Walsall will have keeper cover on-the-bench to guard against a Clayton Ince sending off or injury. Rene Gilmartin is still out with a hamstring tear.
