Hughes goes elsewhere

Lee Hughes has become Notts County's first signing of the Sven-Goran Eriksson era.

The 33-year-old has signed a two-year contract following his release by Oldham Athletic in May.

Alternative unofficial Walsall fansites had heavily linked former Baggie Hughes to a Banks's Stadium move. Given his history off-the-field and his goal scoring record on-the-field the speculation conjured up a huge mix of feeling amongst Saddlers fans'.
