Walsall began strongly and Gary Birch headed Merson’s men ahead after only three minutes. Matty Fryatt doubled our lead eleven minutes later, curling home as the Saddlers dominated. Yossou Diop brought Kiddy back into the game with a fierce drive a minute before half time and then Jan Molby’s men drew level straight after the break, Mellon beating the offside trap to fire past McKinney. Fryatt then netted his second on 66, rounding the keeper, but Harriers drew level on 74. Keeper Richard McKinney brought down Simon Brown and Ian Foster beat McKinney from twelve yards. Then with time running out, Keates struck to hand victory to the League two side.
