Grimsby Town announce Butler signing

Grimsby Town's official website http://www.grimsby-townfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Home/ has announced Martin Butler will be signing a permanent contract with them on January 1st!

Butler has not featured for Walsall since our 3-0 thumping at home by Oldham Athletic. It was a contract dispute which prompted his fall out with the club and he refused to ever play under Chairman Jeff Bonser again. He was then loaned out to Grimsby by Walsall and has scored one goal for since October

While we thank him for his efforts last season (just what we needed), he was never able to make the transition up to League One and to be honest the step up looked way out his depth. Our results improved beyond belief since his departure, to the extent we have only lost once since he left!
