Gillett - The best loan player you can get!!!

Walsall today completed the signing of promising Southampton left winger Simon Gillett. The 19 year old can also play at left back if needed. He has turned out for Southampton's reserves twice this season, with him getting a red card in one of these games for a two footed challange. Despite this he has recieved good reviews following his outings and hopefully he will continue to do so while on loan with us. The lad is following in the footsteps of Chris Baird and Andrew Surnam who have both made loan moves to Bescot from Southampton in the last two years, both of whom were great additions to our team.

Simon has signed initially for a month but this may be extended depending on his success. Gillett is avaliable for selection against Port Vale and is expected to make his debut.
