Gary Peters view on last night

After the 1-1 draw with Walsall. Shrewsbury manager Gary Peters had this to say to his clubs website www.shrewsburytown.com:

We didn't create as many chances as we did against Darlington but we had three clear chances that we should have put away, Derek Asamoah and Ben Davies should have scored and if that happens we all go home happy at 3-1.

We are playing a lot more attractive and energetically but we just need to be more clinical with our finishing.

We were slow out of the blocks tonight and wasn't as sharp as Walsall were in the beginning. We gave them a head start and had to catch up and I was disappointed with that but once the first 15 minutes were out of the way we were very exciting and up for it.

Different things change games, firstly we went a goal down and then had to attack and came back strongly.

Our goal was a well worked goal which was taken well but I would have liked to have got another one.

If their shot at the death had gone in that would have been rough justice, we had chances that we didn't take but overall I thought we had the better of the game.

I was disappointed that we let them go ahead but I know my lads and they like a fight, Walsall got our backs up by taking the lead but we came back very strong.

We had spells when we had all the pressure but didn't score but Walsall also had chances and attacked us but we defended really well when we had to.

There was 4,800 of our own fans and they were great, some may have come back after being told how good Saturday's game and all we can do is put in performances like that.

I feel disappointed that we've dropped points after playing so well, but I think any of my players can score on any given day and take those chances that we're creating.
