Fox doubtful for festive fixtures

Daniel Fox who limped out of the action against Harlepool on Saturday could be missing for around two weeks. Usually this would mean he would miss 2-3 games but with this being the busy xmas and new year fixture overload we may be without his services for 4-5 games. This will come as a big blow to the Saddlers as Fox has proved his value to the team by filling both the left back and centre midfield berths this season at times this season. Fox shows great passion, fight and strength in key areas which Walsall will need to replace if we are to maintain our good form

Julian Bennett is due to serve a one match ban for picking up his 5th yellow card of the season. He will miss the away trip to Bradford City. We could expect that Jonny Harkness may come in as he impressed on his debut against Stockport in the final game of last season.

Paul Merson has suggested that Fox may still play a part in the festive fixtures because 'he would jump through hoops to play'. This implies Fox might play through the pain barrier.
