Forest bid for Fryatt

Nottingham Forest yesterday bid £850k for Walsall teenage striker Matty Fryatt.  Walsall turned the offer down and are holding out for a million pounds plus.  This would of been a record sale for Walsall however Matty is worth more than that.

Paul Merson said Leroy Lita left Bristol City for a million and matty has more potential than him.

It is good to see us not accept the first bid, it remains to be seen if Forest will come back with an improved offer but Megson is believed to be thinking he offered a good price.

Hopefully this will start a flurry of bidding from the bigger clubs, Forest tested the water but will be very unlikely to secure the lads signiture.  A sale now would leave us a week or so to find a replacement
