Floors 2 Go upper shut for Wycombe LDV game

Walsall today announced that the Floors 2 go Upper will be shut for the visit of Wycombe Wanderers in the LDV regional quarter final to be played on Tuesday 19th December.  This is because of a function taking place in the Stadium Suite meaning the upper tiers will be closed because of access.

In the week building up to Christmas the club have realised that they will make much more money from hiring out the Stadium Suite than they would if they opened it to fans.  This function has probably been booked for months and it would of been foolish for us to reject the booking when it was placed as a) there was no gaurentee of us still being in the competition
b) there was no guarentee of a home tie.

With such a poor crowd turning up for the Bournemouth game in Round Two the section is not essential to holding the fans.  Now it means fans will be gathered together more closely which may result in a better astmosphere for the game.  Something in which the players will welcome.  As a Walsall fan i personally fully support the decision as it is in the benefits of the club.  Yes some supporters will be put out for one game, but as a crowd of only around 3,500 is expected this will not affect the overall crowd.

Walsall have also today announced the ticket pricing for the game.  Adult season ticket holders will pay £8 and concessions £2.  Non season ticket holders will pay £10 and concessions £4.
