Wycombe Wanderers FC has agreed to host a Fans United Safe Standing Day in their home match on Sunday 9 September 2007, kick-off 1.30pm. A game which is live on Sky.
The club will be inviting all the other 91 clubs and all the 145 MPs who have signed the pro safe-standing petition at the House of Commons.
It will be the first day of it's kind and should it be a success, expect others clubs to follow. Fans from all 92 league clubs are expected to attend and have been encouraged to wear their club colours.
An interesting marketing idea to sell tickets, but also it could be the catalyst to standing sections to re-appear in all seater stadiums.
