First signing!!

Last updated : 24 May 2007 By Andy Van Hagen
Walsall have gone back in time and re-signed Danny Sonner. The player has been linked with us over the past 10 days and this afternoon put pen-to-paper, signing a one-year deal.

He leaves Port Vale having had assurances from the Walsall management that we have ambitious plans for next season's campaign. Sonner has been informed of our intended targets and obviously he believes Walsall will be looking to do more than just secure survival next term.

Of course one thing is saying, another is securing these targets, but manager Dicky Dosh can obviously sell his vision for the future.

Sonner has been identified as the experienced player with the 'must win' attitude. Now 35, he has had a long career and knows League One having been at Forest and Vale. After being offered only £300 p/w by Vale, he decided his future was away from the potteries.
