Ruddy came on as a 10th minute substitute as Everton keeper Iain Turner was sent off for handball out of his area in the 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers.
Ruddy impressed during his time at Bescot. His young age and lack of experienced was blamed as the reasons for him not having his loan deal extended. Paul Merson decided to recruit the older, more experienced and more vocal Joe Murphy as a replacement for the long term injured Andy Oakes after Ruddy put in a poor performance in the 3-1 loss at Huddersfield.
