Ex-Saddler Legend Leaves Kidderminster

Martin O'Connor has left Kidderminster Harriers by mutual consent. The former Walsall skipper agreed a settlement package with the Conference side.

New Kidderminster player manager Mark Yates said "Martin was honest enough to tell me when I arrived that he didn't feel he'd be fit enough to play in the near future and we felt this move was in the best interests of both parties".

Martin has been suffering from knee problems for a long time and he had not made a first team appearence for the Harriers since November.

O'Connor was player-coach and even had a spell as caretaker manager when ex-Saddler Stuart Watkiss left his manager position at the club.
