Ex-Saddler back in management

Paul Gascoigne today departed Kettering Town after only a month in the job. He had a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses which in all accounts is  not bad for his first 6 games in management!!

Ex-Walsall striker Kevin Wilson has retaken the reigns at the Nationwide Conference club after leaving his management position at the club when Gazza and the consortium took over. Wilson was offered the Director of Football post within the new management team but he declined as he said he would miss the day to day business on the training ground and it would not be in the best interests of his career to take the step 'upstairs'. He now finds himself back in charge of the first team however as a result of conflicting stories from the Gazza and the chairman Imran Ludak.

Ludak suggested Paul Gascoignes drinking was the reason behind the departure but Gazza suggested he was advised to leave the post by his friends in the game because of Ludek wanting influence on team selection and training procedures.

The details are sure to be aired in public in the coming weeks but in the meantime Kevin Wilson will try and pick up the pieces and resume the job he planned for in pre-season.

The surprising element is that Paul Gascoigne and Imran Ludek were part of the same consortium who tried to but Kettering Town. Ludek bought the club but decided to part company with Gazza after only 39 days! It make you wander how two people can fall out so quickly after origionally singing from the same hymn sheet.

Gascoinge has put in an offer to buy Kettering outright but Ludek has said he would not sell to Roman Abramovic for £100 million so Gazza has been left with another embarrasing chapter to add to his CV. This after touting himself around England and the World to end up at a Chinese club but of course this move quickly ended sourly.

Im sure Gazza will be back in football but who knows where and at what level?
