While playing in England, Ince has mostly competed in the Championship. The exception being when he enjoyed a loan spell with Wrexham who have tried to sign him numerous times since but have continually failed because of finances.

Talking to the official site he said "I have spent most of my career in the English game playing at Championship level, so I don't know too much about what League Two holds in store, but I am willing to learn and show my experience to the club and players around me."

Ince has spent the last week on trial at Walsall and Richard Money has had time to evaluate the players potential. If he sounded out past employers he is sure to have recieved a good referee from Dario Gradi. Crewe lost the services of Ince when he chose to join Coventry City on a Bosman transfer last summer. However he keeper failed to dislodge Stephen Bywater and Marton Fullop who were loaned in. When the season ended he asked for a transfer despite having a year to run on his contract. With the player wanting first team football, Coventry mae him available on a free transfer.

Crewe fans still rate Ince highly and that was as a Championship player. Ince enjoyed similar status there as Jimmy Walker did for ourselves. Six years at Crewe made the player a fans favourite.
