It was heavily rumoured Ward would be offered, and accept the managerial job today but something seems to have gone wrong along the way?
The reasons for this can all be pure speculation, just as it was when various sources said he was to be appointed; but could it be Walsall have offered the position and Ward rejected it having seen the budget or not liked the 'terms and conditions' or control over squad building?
