Everton Defender Signs For Saddlers

The 18-year-old defender, cousin of Liverpool and England international midfielder Steven Gerrard, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at The Bescot.

Gerrard, who was released by Everton, impressed manager Paul Merson during a loan spell with the Saddlers.

"This is a massive signing for us," Merson told the club's official website.

"Anthony was outstanding for us at the end of the season and one of my top priorities was to get him back here on a more long-term basis."
