At this time of the season we need commited players who are playing for the team and not for themselves. Of course Devlin should have been upset at not playing a part in the game, but his performances have not been of the standard that warrents guarenteed first team football. There was never a doubt that Devlin would have a big part to play in our survival bid but at the end of the day he must respect the managers decision and let his training do the talking.
Devlin never won the Walsall fans over. He limped off injured during his debut away at Chesterfield and was sent off for violent conduct during his home debut against Scunthorpe.
Maybe he should reflect on why his time at the club has not worked out.
