Derby to trial Premiership right backs at Walsall?

Derby County's search for a right-back on loan has seen them check out Ryan Shotton of Stoke City and Manchester City's Javan Vidal, both of whom could feature against Walsall in the totesport.com League Central Division tonight, 7pm kick off at Bescot.

Derby Manager Nigel Clough has already signed two youngsters on loan from Premier League clubs - midfielder Jake Livermore of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker James Vaughan. He now has the right back position firmly on his mind.


Shotton, who turns 21 next week, played for Stoke against Derby in a pre-season friendly at Pride Park Stadium.

Man City right back Vidal is 20 and has had loan spells at Grimsby Town and Aberdeen. He is an England Under-20 international and of course usually plays alongside Man City Reserve captain, and currently on-loan at Walsall Clayton McDonald.
