Derby County defender to sign on Friday

Derby County defender Pablo Mills will be signing for Walsall on Friday. He will be signing a 93 day loan deal that will ensure that he stays at Bescot until the end of the season.

The deal was actually set in motion by the now departed Paul Merson. Since his departure caretaker manager Mick Halsall and first team coach Simon Osborn have finalised the loan move.

Mills, a 21 year old centre back born in Birmingham has turned down other League One clubs so he can sign for us. His contract with Derby runs out at the end of the season so if the player impresses we might stand a chance of retaining his services. It seems that he will not have his contract renewed with the East Midlands Championship side.

Pablo is a product of the Derby County youth system and he has spent a successful loan period at MK Dons already this term. The loan spell at the Dons ended on New Years Eve.
