Coventry's Dowie wants to add another former Saddler to his squad

Last updated : 07 February 2008 By Andy Van Hagen
The Daily Mirror are this morning reporting that Coventry manager Iain Dowie is lining up a swoop for Andy Bishop.

Bishop started his career at Walsall after graduating from our superb Centre of Excellence. He was probably unfortunate to make his emergence while Walsall were in the Championship and was allowed to leave by then manager Colin Lee.

Since leaving he has carved out a career in the lower leagues and Conference and has achieved a fine goal scoring record of 81 goals from 197 starts. Recently Bishop has attracted the attentions of numerous managers from The Championship and League One and it looks only a matter of time before he makes a move to a higher level. The question is will he join Scott Dann and Daniel Fox at The Ricoh Arena?
