Coventry City's Dann Deal - career stats and that goal!!

Last updated : 01 February 2008 By Andy Van Hagen
Coventry City beat the transfer deadline by minutes and in doing so broke the hearts of thousands of Saddlers.

Their delight offsets our frustration as Scott Dann, regarded Walsall's best player for years signed a three and a half year deal at the Ricoh Arena.

Dann will join up with Daniel Fox at Coventry with his former team-mate joining over the weekend. While at Walsall they were 2/5's of a solid defensive unit which has been the solid backbone of Richard Money's managerial reign.

Not only was Scott Dann a terrific defender who can pass the ball out of defence with ease, he also has an eye for goal. 8 goals in 69 apperances, not bad for a centre half. Which then leads to that goal, against Rochdale, Walsall 1-0 down with minutes to go of injury time, no options, nothing on, but ....

His departure is sure to see fans vent their nger at the club. club who before yesterday looked a good bet to be headed into the play-offs, only points off 2nd place. Daniel Fox was expendable, a great deal for the club. This however changes things completely.
