Contract extension for Gerrard

Anthony Gerrard has signed a one year extension that will see him stay at the club until the end of the 2007/8 season.

Fans will be boosted by Gerrard signing up for another season. It shows that the player is unconcerned with Paul Mersons departure from the club and that he is happy to commit his future to the club even though we dont have a manager.
Gerrards form has been superb this season and it is great news to have secured his services for another season. He has built up a superb partnership with Ian Roper and the fans can now look forward to the two playing alonside each other for the next two years.
