James Constable today turned down moves to Bristol City and Swansea City. Having already turned down Rushden and Diamonds this leaves Walsall in pole position to sign the young Chippenham Town striker.

Walsall have agreed a package with Chippenham. This includes a sell on percentage as well as a pre season friendly with the Southern Division Premier League side.

To get around the transfer window rules, Walsall will initially bring the striker in on loan with the pernament transfer going through in January.

The club are talking personal terms with Constable today and seem pretty confident of securing the signiture.
