Constable to get his chance against Bristol City?

Manager Kevan Broadhurst has hinted in the press that James Constable will get his chance in the first team this coming Saturday against Bristol City. The striker, signed from Chippenham Town actually turned City down in favour of signing for the Saddlers.

James or Beano as the fans refur to him has made his impression by scoring another two goals for the reserves in the 3-2 draw with Nottingham Forest. Kevan speaking to the Express and Star said 'James has a knack of getting goals and he has certainly put himself in the frame for Saturday'.

The question is who will he partner? The guess would be Steve Claridge who despite not impressing against Blackpool, did not get any real service from the midfield. This would allow Kevan to drop Devlin into the right wing slot, which will allow the poor Mark Wright to be excluded from the first team line up. Ishmel Demontagnac impressed in the reserve game after coming back from suspension and he might be brought back into the team to provide the crosses for our front men. Keatesy is Walsall through and through but he did not look at all comfortable in the left wing position he found himself in on Saturday.

Walsall are in the last chance saloon, we cannot afford not to make changes after last Saturdays disaterous performance. Another performance like that and its all over.
