Buckley on Bescot defeat

After watching his side fall to a 2-0 defeat against a club where he is a living legend, Grimsby manager Alan Buckley had the following to The Mariners official website - www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk

"If you draw a line twenty five yards from our goal and twenty five yards from their goal, I felt we were more than a match for Walsall and we had as much possession. We passed the ball into attacking areas, but I was disappointed in the first goal we conceded.

Our defender could have kicked the ball out of play but gets done, and their lad has a free header into the net.

We have lost five in a row but I have seen an improvement in our performance and we must build on that on Saturday."
