Brentford boss: Dug out position - reason for back-to-back home draws

Brentford's manager Andy Scott has spoken of his opinion that the positioning of 'The Bees' dugouts could be behind back-to-back home league draws. This weekend he saw Walsall comeback to earn a point at the weekend after being one-down.

Griffin Park varies from traditional grounds in that their dug outs are both sited in one half rather than split either side of the half way line. Scott reckons the positioning makes it difficult to communicate with his side once they defend the Brook Road end. In the Surrey Comet, Scott explains:

"I've been talking to the club about moving the dugouts to the middle of the pitch, to help with our input from the side and influence on our team,"

"Certainly in the first half when our back four were in line with us we can hold them and talk to them. In the second half we were a bit detached.

"Maybe that is something we can look to do next season. I think sometimes it could be the difference between winning and losing the game. Certainly with young players you need to get information across."
