Barry Fry's statement on last night

So we have read Keith Alexander's Peterborough view of events. Now Chairman Barry Fry shares his thoughts. Taken from the Peterborough official site www.theposh.co.uk

'I would like to apologise to all of the fans that took time off work, spending their hard earned money to go to Walsall on Tuesday evening and watch an absolutely disgraceful performance where the players showed no passion, no commitment and no respect for themselves let alone anyone else.

'It was a huge disappointment to us all and I can only apologise on behalf of the club. I can assure all fans that Keith Alexander is working morning, afternoon and night to bring in players and he needs everybody's support.

'When he was appointed we said it is a huge task because of the players constantly underachieving and it is very difficult to get rid of players overnight to bring in new players. Keith is identifying several individuals and I am doing my best to get those individuals here albeit short term until anything can be done permanently.

'Once again, I would like to say sorry to those fans who went to the Bescot Stadium and witnessed that shambolic performance,' Fry said.
