Baird gets one-game ban

Walsall defender Chris Baird will miss Saturday's home game against Norwich through suspension. Baird was sent-off against Sunderland earlier this month but the club appealed against the decision but the FA have decided the decision was correct and Darren Bazeley is expected to replace him.

Walsall manager Colin Lee must also replace Gary O'Neil after the impressive midfielder was recalled by Portsmouth earlier in the week. Jamie Lawrence looks the most likely candidate to replace O'Neil.

Norwich have just one worry ahead of the game with defender Marc Edworthy struggling with a slight hamstring injury. Former target Darren Huckerby is expected to continue up-front for Nigel Worthington's side.

Walsall have made an extra 500 tickets available to Norwich fans for this match after they sold their initial allocation earlier in the week.

Walsall (possible) line-up (4-4-1-1):
Walker; Bazeley, Roper, Ritchie, Vincent; Lawrence, Osborn, Samways, Wrack; Merson; Birch. Subs: Allaway, Emblen, Corica, Leitao, Fryatt.

Norwich (possible) line-up (4-4-2):
Green; Drury, Edworthy, Macky, Fleming; McVeigh, Holt, Francis, Rivers; Crouch, Huckerby. Subs: Chritchon, Roberts, Mulryne, Jarvis, Briggs.
