Walsall last night confirmed that James Constable having had a trial with us. The 21 year old who plays for Chippenham Town has scored 11 goals so far this seaseon. The striker is attracting interest from Bristol City, Swansea, Swindon Town, Bristol Rovers and ourselves.

Dean Perrow has come back for another week after proving he was worth another look.  Dean plays for Willenhall Town where our own Sean Platt and Lee Vaughan are on loan.

The international keeper we are looking at is Murphy Akanji.  He is the keeper that was stated a coulple of weeks ago by Merson in the press was playing for a Cypriot team, but he has actually come from Sliema Wanderers in Malta! - I think he was using the Ruben Darius Larossa is a a Brazilian tactic again!

Akanji born on new years day 1977  has 21 Nigerian caps to his name.  Paul Merson is looking at him to provide back up for Andy Oakes because on loan keeper Joe Murphy's wages do not fit into our caplabilities on a full time capacity.  Rene Gilmartin is still considered not ready for first team football so we might still be looking for a keeper to fill in for the FA Cup 2nd Round tie against Macclesfield or Yeovil, as even if Akanji impresses he will not beable to join until the international transfer window opens on his brirthday.
