Lifelong Hull City fan Geoff Pearson was the toast of the KC Stadium after winning £250,000 for the Coca-Cola Championship club in Coca-Cola's 'Buy A Player' football promotion.

'Buy A Player' launched in mid January offering Football League and Scottish Premier League fans the chance to win instant transfer prizes for their clubs on bottles of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero. So far thousands of pounds raised for clubs transfer funds for this summer.

59 year old Geoff, who was born in Hull but now lives in Kingston-Upon-Thames, was selected randomly from all valid entries into the promotion so far in an independently supervised draw at Coca-Cola HQ late last night. He was revealed as the winner of this special one-off transfer fund for the Tigers on Sky Sports' Soccer AM this morning.

The winner, who has already entered several codes for his team in the promotion, said: "I've been a Hull City fan all my life so to personally win this huge transfer fund for the club makes me so proud. It's amazing to see how far we've come and hopefully this money can help us build for the future with a great new signing."

As well as receiving a personal cheque of £10,000, Hull City will also be celebrating Geoff's status as their Superfan - the fan who has won the most money for the club during the promotion. He will receive a VIP day out at an upcoming home fixture (including a tour of the stadium, boardroom access and tickets in the directors box), and take his seat in the club's official team picture for the 2007/08 season.

Geoff's win also means that Hull City manager Phil Brown will now have to drop his football shorts and a whole lot more after he pledged to bare all for the Official Club Magazine if the fans raised £100,000 for the club during the promotion.

The £250K may have been won by Hull City but there's still £10 million transfer kitty on offer between now and the end of April, and with one in every two packs guaranteed to win, there are still plenty of chances to give your club a windfall for next season.

All you need to do is buy a promotional bottle or multi-pack of Coca-Cola or Coke Zero to be in with a chance of winning a prize for your club's transfer fund. Prizes range from 50p all the way up to £100,000. The winners of the £100,000 prizes will also win a personal cash prize of £10,000.
