.... Slough 2 Walsall 1. The total embarrassment that saw Walsall on the back of the newspapers, a featured Match of the Day game and the laughing stock of the Midlands. That was November 2004.

Two years later Walsall lost 2-0 at home Yeovil Town on March 21. The worst home performance for many, many a year. It was the sort of game which showed why we were in the position we are, but it was also a lie over and die display that disgusted many.

14.3% voted for the Tuesday night in January 2005 where around  one hundred Walsall fans made the long, long drive to a freezing cold Colchester where we were thumped 5-0, 4-0 down at half time and it could have easily been double figures. Never before had i personally regretted an away journey. To make matters worse i was so discusted on the way home, i took a wrong turning and ended up in central London!! Not quite the M25, M40 route i was looking for!

11.9% rated this seasons 5-0 defeat at Brentford the worst and who could argue.
