Purpletweenie moves again

David Perpetuini, the player famously dropped by Paul Merson after the player rejected our contract offer has found himself another club. In a rare decision that was applauded by all Walsall fans, Perpetuini was frozen out after deciding he could get a better deal elsewhere.

Perpetuini has signed for Conference strugglers Rushden and Diamonds until the end of the season. He signed from Conference South side Lewes.

After rejecting Walsall for bigger things or a bigger pay packet, the full back ended up at Stevenage, where he soon found himself surplus to requirements. However it was Rushden boss Graham Westley who signed him when he was in charge at Stevenage at the start of last season.

After leaving Stevenage he joined up with Kettering Town at the start of the season on non-contract terms where he played a single game before joining Lewes. He has made the first team 10 times this season with one substitute appearance.

The 27 year old, left-sided player is most widely recogised from his spell at Gillingham.
