Mullen is not Moore's 'YES Man'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has told the Yorkshire Post that newly appointed second in command, Jimmy Mullen is not at the club to agree with him - or because of the 'old pals act'.

Moore and Mullen played together for the Millers in the 1980's and Moore was ready to bring the former Walsall, Burnley and Blackpool boss in as his number two at Tranmere. This never came off as Moore was sacked before that could happen, making way for the appointment of John Barnes.

Moore tells Mullen is known for always having his say, 'He's not one of those guys who if I say it's red, it's red. He'll come back at you and he isn't a 'yes' man and I like that in people.

'Both Jimmy and I have a lot of knowledge between us and want to take this club into the Championship. But, it won't be easy.'
