Jabo's a shrimp!

SouthendJabo Ibehre has left MK Dons for a one month loan at Southen United.

Having left Walsall in the summer on a free transfer Jabo, who said he loved his time at 'The Banks's Stadium', gave the reason he wanted to be closer to London where he still resides.  In doing so, he joined MK Dons, who his goal for Walsall at the back end of 2008/9 season to earn the Saddlers victory was the goal which was accredited to being the one who denied MK Dons automatic promotion from League One to the Championship.

The manager who signed him Roberto Di Matteo, quickly departed Stadium:MK to take the managerial position vacated by Tony Mowbray at West Brom in the summer which meant his MK career would start being just another player 'inherited' by Paul Ince when starting his second spell in charge at the club.  He's mainly featured off the subs bench for MK with 8 in his 12 appearances starting from there.

Jabo will be remembered at Walsall for his all action, leading of the line.  A terrific forward who always gave 100%, perhaps he didnt score as many as he should with a couple of glaring misses along the way but there was no doubt about it, he was a fans favourite.  With 11 goals in 39 starts and 4 appearances off-the-bench, he was just 1 goal behind top-scorer Troy Deeney.  At the end of season parade around the pitch Walsall thanked Jabo with his Jabo! Jabo! Jabo! chant which was sung regularly in the stands in appreciation of our powerful front man.

In joining Southend Jabo links up again with Southend Assistant Paul Brush who he played under at Leyton Orient.
