Sacked Walsall winger Ishmel Demontagnac is on the verge of being offered a deal at Championship side Blackpool.
Ishy has caught the eye during pre-season with Ian Holloway's men and is set to be handed a month-to-month contract and a chance to prove himself.
Holloway explained to the Blackpool Gazette that he has to behave himself:
"I am thinking about working with him, though he has to keep behaving himself on and off the field. His basic fitness is nowhere near what it needs to be yet and I shouldn't really be playing him. But he has got some fantastic ability. He needs to channel it and use it, but I will be trying to do some sort of deal which will reflect where he is and make sure that he is on his toes."
This would be a great move for Ishy, and the level of football will certainly benefit him. In League One and Two defenders resorted to hacking the player down when unable to cope with his pace and skill. In the Championship he will come up against a better quality of defender. If he can cut out his retaliation and be happy with a free kick for the foul, without wanting to dish out his own personal revenge Blackpool will find themselves a match winner and a player who can make a difference. Walsall fans saw in friendlies against Aston Villa and League Cup football against Bolton, Ishy can play against the better sides and scare them to death.
But the one question still remains - Can Holloway succeed where Merson, Broadhurst, Money and Mullen all failed and tame the time bomb?
