Fox signs for Burnley

Former left-back Danny Fox has left Celtic to join Burnley.  'E.T' as he was known within the Walsall dressing room only joined the Bhoys in the summer from Coventry.  Celtic manager Tony Mowbray is embarking on a hectic rebuilding programme after falling behind Rangers in the SPL title race and while it is unknown the reasons for his departure from a playing point of view he is now back in England and will have the chance to prove himself verses the very best.

The signing was announced for an undisclosed fee and he becomes the third capture of the week for new Burnley boss Brian Laws after Leon Cort and Nicky Weaver also arrived at Turf Moor.  Fox has put pen to paper on a 3 and a half year deal but cannot make his debut verses Chelsea because the move is still subject to international clearance.

At Celtic Fox made 22 starts, featured in Champions League qualifiers and was called up for the Scottish national side.  Having withdrawn through injury the former England U21 international still has his pick.  If he adapts to life in the Premiership as-well-as former Walsall team-mate Scott Dann, who knows he may bide his time and try to win a three lions call up?
