Former keeper signs for Tranmere

Ex-Walsall keeper Gavin Ward has agreed a one year contract with Ronnie Moore's Tranmere Rovers. The 35 year old keeper who was born in Sutton Coldfield spent the 2002/3 season with Walsall but left to join Coventry City after failing to beat off competition from Jimmy Walker for the No.1 shirt.

In the 2002/3 season he made 5 starts for the Saddlers and 2 substitute appearances.
