Former keeper on the score sheet

Former keeper Gavin Ward found himself on the score sheet as Tranmere Rovers beat Leyton Orient 3-0 in blustery conditions at Prenton Park.

Ward, from Sutton Coldfield opened the scoring for Tranmere in the 9th minute. From a free-kick just outside his area, his big hoof forward was pushed further forward by the wind and bounced over the head of opposing goalie Glen Morris into the goal. A sequence of events that will re-occur in the worst nightmares of Orient the keeper, who was making his first appearence of the season.
