Ex-Walsall and Bournemouth Striker out for the season

New Zealand Knights striker Dani Rodrigues's season is over after he recieved the news his knee injury requires surgery to repair a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. The Portuguese player has struggled with the injury for the past  3 weeks but he has played through the pain and discomfort to try and help his clubs cause.

Rodrigues will remain with the Knights and undergo his surgery and rehabilitation here in New Zealand with a view to returning to the field in the Hyundai A-League, if not this season then next. He is expected to be out of the game for 6 to 9 months. The NZ Knights have said thry will continue to support Rodrigues throughout the process and manage his rehabilitation.
