Extended stay at the Foxes for Fryatt

Leicester City striker Matty Fryatt has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the Foxes. This was the perfect Christmas present for Leicester fans who feared the striker, with 23 goals this season, would've been snapped up by another club in January with his contract running out in the summer.

The signing of the contract could be good news for Walsall who are entitled to a percentage of any sell-on profit Leicester make in his transfer. Had he walked away on a free in the summer Leicester and the Saddlers would have got nothing and a January sale probably would not have reflected his true market value.
