Mansfield Town manager David Holdsworth has made his 10th squad addition of the summer having signed Walsall youth product Kyle Perry on a two-year deal.
Perry, now 23, failed to score in 33 appearances for Vale, but scored twice in seven appearances while on loan in the Conference last season with Northwich Victoria last season.
Perry found national spotlight with Chasetown's famous FA Cup run, before being snapped up by another former Saddler Lee Sinnott to give him his League Two chance at Vale Park.
