Ex-Saddler heads to America

Former product of Walsall's youth system Taiwo Ateino has left Tamworth after their relegation from the Conference for the 'American Dream'.

Ateino signed for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the United States League First Division but he will not be playing against David Beckham any time soon. Unlike most other nations, there is currently no system of promotion and relegation in American soccer so Tai will be playing second tier football until he leaves the club or a MSL franchise is purchased by the club.

Since signing Tai has played 4 times and has found the net 3 times including at the weekend in the Islanders 4-3 win over California Railhawks.
