Doncaster Rovers have signed Southampton midfielder and former Walsall loanee Simon Gillett on a two-month loan deal.
The 23-year-old goes straight into the Rovers squad for the South Yorkshire derby against Barnsley on Saturday.
Gillett has made 38 appearances for the Saints since his debut against Leicester City in January 2006.
He has had previous loan spells at Walsall, Bournemouth and Blackpool, where he played in the 2007 League One play-off final at Wembley. At Walsall he was restrited to only two games in a Saddlers shirt having had his loan spell cut short by injury. Returning to Southampton for treatment, once fit again, his month loan had expired.
