Daniel Fox being hunted before Champions League new signing deadline

Celtic are reported to be attempting to seal the signature of Coventry City left-back Danny Fox tonight before the 11pm European signing deadline.

New Parkhead boss Tony Mowbray has identified the 23 year-old former England Under-21 star as a solution to the club's long-standing left-back problem.

The 'Evening Times' say Fox, who has been valued at around £4million by Coventry, could well be on his way to Glasgow this evening if a deal can be rushed through.

Fox left Walsall in January 08 but unlike most transfers out of Bescot he does not have a sell on clause as when he left, he left as the 'finished article' apparently!

Fox, was named in the Championship Team of the Year last season, and has developed into an excellent attacking full-back.
