Chester sign up Spanish former Saddler

Chester have signed Spanish ex-Walsall midfielder Roberto Martinez on a two-year deal.

The 33-year-old was released by Swansea at the end of last season after a year of limited first team opportunities. This was despite his position as club captain. Martinez played 124+15 times for Swansea during his 3 year stint with the Jacks following his release from Walsall.

After his departure from Swansea Martinez said "I didn't want to leave Swansea, but the decision was out of my hands so you just look forward"
