Championship winning Saddler in League Two trial

Last updated : 17 July 2008 By Andy Van Hagen

Chester City have taken Trevor Benjamin on trial.

The well travelled striker has had 16 clubs during his 13 year career and last season scored 11 times for Hereford United following his release from the Saddlers.

Benjamin wrote himself into Walsall history by scoring our promotion winning goal at Notts County in 2007 and is a former Jamaican international.

Now 29, and having won back-to-back promotions from League Two, he is a free agent.  He is included in Chester City's squad to face Vauxhall Motors over the weekend in a bid to join club 17.
